On October 25th ten of us from Liberty Church in Swansea will be going to the Philippines for a few weeks. We want to go there and be able to help people not just spiritually or with encouraging words - but with funds that will help with the needs that we meet and see on our trip.
We will be spending time in Sefton Village in Santiago in northern Philippines. Our Pastor and his family spent 12 years there and he will be leading our team and reconnecting and introducing us to his Filipino friends. At Sefton Village there is a Children's Home, two schools, a Bible School and a radio station. We will be helping in all of these projects.
Pastor Mark also founded Cornerstone Church in Santiago and we will be helping the churches there. We will be taking services in the local jail as well as feeding the sick in the hospital.
We are also spending time with Ron and Joanna Domingo at the Tondo Dumpsite in Manila. This is an incredible ministry in an extremely difficult environment and what they do at the dump is nothing short of inspirational. We will be working with the mums & tots at the dump, teaching the youth and encouraging their leaders.
The Philippines has been hit by a huge typhoon recently and we want to be able to help those who have lost a lot through the storm. Every penny you give will be used to bless the Philippines and Filipinos on our trip. All our team have raised their own airfares and budget and none of the money raised will go towards them.
Please give generously and dig deep! This is a great opportunity to help many people, families and groups in the Philippines. Thank you so much in advance!
