Story

Blood transfusions are vital to the life-enhancing care which takes place at the RVC every day. As our hospital has expanded and we continue to advance veterinary medicine through our research, we now treat more injuries and conditions than ever before. Due to this ever-increasing demand, it is vital that our Blood Donor team has dedicated and specialised facilities.

To celebrate RVC Blood Donor Programme’s 20th birthday, we need your support to raise £150k to fund a brand new home for the team.

The new bespoke facilities will:

• Have separate dog and cat donation areas.

• Include a bespoke laboratory for the team to process donations.

• Be away from the busy hospital in a quiet area.

In appreciation of the hundreds of pets who give or have given blood, donate or fundraise for our appeal today and make this the best birthday ever.

Every penny donated or raised will go towards building a new home for the RVC Blood Donor Team with any funds raised over the £150k supporting the ongoing work of the team.
