Story
We are fundraising to help us purchase three new polytunnels for our farm-based day opportunity where we support adults with learning disabilities and autism. These polytunnels are essential for our daily operations, as they enable the people we support to engage in horticultural activities through the growing of vegetables, fruits and other plants.
By growing our own produce on-site, we can sell fresh, locally-grown vegetables to our community. This not only provides a sustainable income that we reinvest back into the farm but also helps the people we support build new skills in running our own on-site shop.
Additionally, the produce grown in these polytunnels will be used in our on-site cookery training programs. These programs focus on low food miles and healthy eating, benefiting the people we support.
