Unlocking Potential, One Child at a Time

The 10K a Day Challenge - October 2025

This October, we invite you to join our “10K a Day Challenge”, not just to count steps, but to walk with purpose. Each stride you take helps unlock the brilliance within every child, no matter their circumstance.

At the Blue Magpie Foundation, our mission is to establish Centres of Excellence where young people can access world-class education, mentorship, and the tools to flourish in life. Every curriculum we deliver, from English and IT to emerging fields like cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, is designed with academic rigour, drawing on leading educators, researchers, and PhD students. We believe that excellence must be accessible to all.

Our Global Work on 3 continents

Sri Lanka

In the past year, we have expanded into five regions across the North and East, Jaffna, Ariyalai, Mannar, Kanakaraykulam (Vavuniya), and Trincomalee. Each partnership is rooted in after-school education: English, IT, and creative activities that lift entire communities.

One of our most urgent projects is at a small school in Ariyalai, where only 6 students attend Grades 1–9. The facilities are broken, salt water in the well, unusable bathrooms, yet the potential is immense. With your support, we will restore the school’s basic amenities and establish a new Centre of Excellence there:

- English and IT classes for local children

- Community events (carrom tournaments, art and crafts, health awareness workshops)

- Monthly health checks with local nurses

This is how entire communities are reawakened.

United Kingdom

In Harrow, we have built strong partnerships with local schools, Harrow Council, Compass, Young Harrow Foundation, and community organisations. Our flagship programmes provide:

- Advanced tech bootcamps introducing young people to coding, AI, and cybersecurity.

- Mentorship and coaching to guide ages 5–25 in navigating life’s complexities, from academic achievement to personal growth.

Our centres here are becoming models of academic and personal development, preparing the next generation not only for success, but for leadership.

Mali, West Africa

This year, our vision extended to Mali, where we began a partnership with a village school. Here, we are laying the foundations for another Centre of Excellence — ensuring children in even the most remote places gain access to English, IT, and life-shaping mentorship.
