We are a branch of the RSPCA, with our work focused in the Thanet district of East Kent. Our primary purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome domestic animals, and also offer emergency and short term care for wildlife. We rely on public donation and funds raised through our shops to survive

Story

8 day old Bobby came into our care last week after being found alone in a bush. It was immediately obvious that he had had something tied around his back right leg for some time, and had caused severe injury. We took him to the vets and got him started straight away on antibiotics and pain relief to try and get rid of the start of infection in that leg.

Heartbreakingly, it was already too late and his leg has started to die. This has forced us and the vets to make the decision that we need to intervene now, and try and remove the leg.

We have been given a 5-10% chance of survival, on a kitten so young and so small, but we have to try! We want to give Bobby every chance, and we know he is a fighter!

Please help us to fund his life saving surgery!

Any money we get on top of the cost of Bobby's surgery will go to help more animals in RSPCA Thanet's care.
