Did you know that 90% of wild lions have been lost in the last century? Large cats and other mammals continue to be captured in the wild and sold as pets, or exploited in captivity for profit, often in horrific conditions. Up to 86% of forests in elephant ranges have declined in the last three generations, leaving forest African Elephants critically endangered. Over 96% of tigers have been lost in the last 100 years. Devastating.

But there is hope. Kenya has seen a 100% population increase of African Elephants in the last 40 years, up to 34,000, with a 96% decrease in elephant poaching activity. Bengal tigers in India have grown to 3,000 (100% up from 2006). Lion population numbers have increased by 25% to 2,500 in Kenya since 2010, the year our lion conservation work began there, and we are continuing to build on this. We've rescued over 55 lions from captive exploitation and the exotic pet trade.
