This week we woke to calls from the police and the public telling us that our (favourite!) minibus was now in a ditch somewhere in the woods in Surrey, having been stripped and then abandoned.
We are now entering our busiest period of the year so we are fundraising to replace our stolen minibus and to get back on the road, providing fantastic adventurous activities for young people throughout the summer and for years to come.
We really appreciate the support and encouragement Bowles staff provide to give our children the confidence and self-belief to try new things is amazing - Teacher
Children have really missed out throughout the pandemic, often stuck at home for extended periods, isolated and glued to their screens. Outdoor activities give young people the opportunity to be kids, to have real life adventures and life changing experiences; making friends, trying new things, learning new skills, having fun and making up for lost time.
Life has been exceptionally limiting for those with additional needs this year and this was a door that re-opened for us - Mum
Many of the children we work with are disadvantaged and the only way that some of them will get to experience adventurous outdoor activities will be on a course with Bowles. Your donation will help us to share some adventures that will change lives in some of the most beautiful places in the Southeast.
You guys went above and beyond for all NHS and Critical Care workers this week. It really helped me out as I work nights at Tunbridge Wells Hospital and it gave my son some fun and freedom.
At Bowles we are all about quality and all about learning, our staff are passionate about providing the best for the children we work with. Please consider helping us with a donation towards a new minibus to take children to wonderful places this year and for many more to come.
Footnote: We do hope to get some insurance towards a replacement but this is likely to be both late and a fraction of what we will need for a reliable replacement.
Thanks for reading about this appeal and please share on social media if you support the cause.
Best wishes
Team Bowles!
