Brightwell Preschool’s Annual Welly Walk and Family Fun Afternoon will take place on Saturday, 6th June.

11:30am – Welly Walk (please meet outside the Kings Meadow playground, opposite the preschool)

12:00pm – Family picnic, games, and cake sale in the Kings Meadow playground. Please bring your own picnic and picnic rug, and join us for a lovely afternoon of games, cakes, and refreshments.

This year’s walk will help raise funds to create a nature garden for our children.

A nature garden would be a valuable addition to our preschool, providing hands-on opportunities for children to learn and explore. It nurtures curiosity and supports early understanding of the natural world through activities such as planting, digging, and observing wildlife.

Outdoor play also promotes physical development, helping children build strength, coordination, and confidence. Time spent in nature can also be calming, supporting emotional wellbeing and helping children feel more relaxed.

In addition, a nature garden encourages teamwork, imaginative play, and independence, while teaching children to care for their environment.

This would be a wonderful enhancement to our preschool—thank you for your support in helping us make it a reality.
