Story
On 12th September, a small but mighty team will be stepping right to the edge of Leasowe Lighthouse — and abseiling down it — to support people living with sight loss across Merseyside.
For many of us, heights are daunting. But for people who are blind or partially sighted, everyday life can feel like standing at the edge of something unfamiliar — navigating changes, rebuilding confidence, and learning new ways to stay independent.
At Bradbury Fields, we’re there for people at those moments. We provide practical rehabilitation, mobility training, assistive technology, emotional support and social connection — helping people adapt, regain confidence and live life on their own terms.
This abseil isn’t just about facing a physical challenge. It’s about standing alongside a community that faces challenges every day — and showing that they’re not doing it alone.
Each person taking part is raising money to help fund the services that make a real, lasting difference to blind and partially sighted people across our region.
If you’re able to donate, you’ll be helping:
Reduce isolation
Build confidence and independence
Support people through life-changing moments
Please consider sponsoring our abseil team today. Your support means more than you might realise — and together, we can help people living with sight loss feel supported, capable and connected.
Thank you for standing with us.
