People with visual impairments have unique educational needs that require professional approach and special services, materials. They need to keep up in the fast-paced world due to innovations/inventions. Apart from having special education centers, alternative educational services are necessary in terms of reaching out to more people and make learning accessible and independent for every visually impaired person.
Braille Teach offers a unique opportunity for children with visual impairment to learn Braille alphabet fast and with fun. The primary benefits of this product include a structured learning program and engaging activities to teach the Braille alphabet and symbols. It fully supports early stage of Braille, a system of touch reading and writing for blind persons. The device has 6 buttons and currently 5 language options (Azerbaijani, English, Russian, Ukrainian, and German). There are 8 games operating in two modes - letters and figures.
It enables fully or partially blind children to learn the Braille alphabet with sounds and interactive games that users will enjoy. Braille Teach and similar devices can allow children learn on their own through play. Most importantly, it can close literacy gap and contribute to alternative learning methods for the visually impaired. Increasing literacy of visually impaired kids, and supporting them to catch up with peers at early childhood education are the main outcomes of the product. In time, these all lead to children's self-confidence and encourage them for further learning.
We are raising £ 40,000 to fund the mass production of Braille. The predicted sale price of an item will be £ 40 and profits will be used by UAFA to support (free) services for children with disabilities in Azerbaijan.
