Story

Brainathlon is a new virtual event for 2021 brought to you by Brain Research UK, Brain Tumour Research and Epilepsy Research UK. Run 15 miles, walk 10 miles and climb 1.2 miles (or 2, 500 stairs) whilst raising money for three neuro research charities.

Brain Research UK (registered charity number 1137560) has a vision of a world where everyone with a neurological condition lives better, longer. We are the leading dedicated funder of neurological research in the UK.

Brain Tumour Research (registered charity number 1153487) is dedicated to funding sustainable research into brain tumours across a network of Centres of Excellence whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally to find a cure for this biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40.

Epilepsy Research UK's vision is 'a life free from epilepsy'. We are the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to funding a national programme of life changing, life saving research into epilepsy. (registered charity number 1100394)

All monies raised from Brainathalon will be distributed equally between these three leading neuro research charities.

About the charity

Brain Research UK, Brain Tumour Research and Epilepsy Research UK are three leading charities in the field of neuro research. We all fund research to achieve the greatest impact, and improve outcomes, for people affected by neurological conditions, including epilepsy and brain tumours.
