Story
This morning (11th March 2022) a frail, stray dog came into our care from the streets of Penang Island. She was severely dehydrated and suffering with hypothermia. We have named this beautiful girl Brie.
Brie was immediately rushed to our vet for observation. At this stage, we were not even sure if she would make it. Her body temperature was severely low at just 25 degrees Celsius, and her gums were bleeding. It was not looking good. Our Penang team acted quickly and were able to perform emergency aid and raise Brie's body temperature 35.8 degrees Celsius to give this sweet girl a fighting chance.
Blood tests now show that Brie is suffering with leptospirosis, a nasty bacterial disease, and she is now with our vet for urgent treatment. Please send a kind donation to support Brie through her immediate treatment and long-term recovery if you can. She has already suffered too much. Let's work together to help her get better so she can go on to live a happy, healthy and leave all this pain behind.
Thank you for helping Brie reach her target - all of us at IAPWA x

Please note: If we are lucky enough to reach our target for Brie, any funds raised above what is needed will be used where they are needed the most, to help the other animals in our care.
