Our district's Explorer Scout Unit, Brigantia, will be taking 50+ young people to the International Scout Centre in Kandersteg, Switzerland in August 2025. This is an incredible opportunity for our young people to experience international scouting, and we will be travelling as part of a contingent organised by our county (Greater London Middlesex West) of 600+ people!

The young people will be able to participate in incredible activities that we do not have access to in the UK, such as ice climbing and glacier walking, and hiking up to spend the night in a Swiss mountain hut. They will also have the chance to meet other Scouts from across the world and build #SkillsForLife.

This costs each young person a base rate of £1000 to account for travel, insurance, food, and logistics, and a further variable cost depending on what activities they participate in. We are fundraising to help defray the cost of the trip for our young people and ensure that these opportunities in Scouting are accessible to all.

Scouting is only possible because of incredible community support, particularly from our volunteer leaders who give willing of their own time and skills to ensure our young people have incredible experiences.
