We are a partnership of 14 churches across Brighton & Hove who believe no one should be sleeping on our streets!
We run a winter night shelter for individuals who are sleeping rough. We strive to make our Shelter feel like a home, and welcome our guests like friends. Every evening we provide guests with a home-cooked meal, a warm bed and showers, and breakfast the following morning.
"For me it was invaluable because I didn't wanna be out there on the streets at night, I'm too old for that now. I still see people who are out there and I hate it. I just wish everyone could get in here. During the day, it actually gave me something to look forward to."
We also support guests in finding permanent housing and employment through our partnerships with the Council and other local agencies.
"I came out of prison and found myself living on the streets with nothing. I found out about the Night Shelter and was referred to join the project. Quite quickly I settled in, made friends and it felt like home. They helped me to get housing and it really improved my life."
Since 2011 we have provided 400 rough sleepers with beds and assisted 105 guests in finding permanent housing.
