Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Closes 31/05/2025

We believe everyone deserves to live a life free from slavery and exploitation. Through our network of safe-houses and community outreach hubs, we provide protection to adult victims and their dependent children and empower them to become survivors. We also raise awareness and support initiatives that aim to prevent others from becoming victims, and proactively seek justice for our clients through our partnerships with law enforcement agencies.

Story

I work for the Medaille Trust, a charity supporting survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking. The support we offer to the ladies within our service has enabled them to begin their recovery and to grow in confidence, with the aim of them being able to move forward and re-build their lives independently and safely.

In April 2025, I will be running the Brighton marathon in order to raise funds for the Central ladies safe house. The money raised will allow us to enable the ladies to access support both in and out of the house. Funds will go towards enabling the ladies to access counselling, well-being activities and support groups in the community, and to create space within the safe house for the ladies welfare.

This will have a huge impact on the ladies lives. Access to these resources are limited at the present time, but we have seen a big difference in the progress of the ladies recovery with the limited resources we currently have, so your financial support will help the ladies access more towards their recovery."
