Story
Some sad news to share with our Shine Lincolnshire family. Our much loved mascot Bert has had an accident while hibernating, and despite the incredible efforts of Johnson’s Dry Cleaners in Sleaford, we’ve sadly been unable to save him.
Over the last few years, Bert has worked tirelessly for Shine Lincolnshire. He’s visited countless events and school assemblies, taken part in 5Ks, 10Ks and mascot races, and most importantly, helped spread smiles, laughter and important conversations about mental health across Lincolnshire. Bert has become a true symbol of warmth, support and positivity in our community.
To continue this work, we now need to welcome Bert 2.0, but as a mental health charity, this isn’t something we can do without help. We’re aiming to raise £2,000 to cover the cost of a new Bert mascot so he can return to doing what he does best: bringing joy and reassurance to people of all ages.
We know times are tough and many people are feeling the strain right now. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference and help us get Bert back out in the community where he truly belongs.
Thank you for supporting Shine Lincolnshire, for supporting mental health, and for helping us keep the smiles coming.
