The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileWhen schools, colleges and youth services shut during lockdown, many had nowhere to turn for confidential advice and support. Some found themselves trapped at home with violent, coercive or abusive family members. Without their usual networks and eager to connect with others, young people naturally found themselves spending more time online. But this put them at greater risk of grooming and online abuse.
Although restrictions have eased as we approach Christmas, young people are still feeling the impact. 72% of young people say the lockdown has led to a decline in their mental health.
When the country entered lockdown, we stepped up. Thanks to your support, we were able to make the necessary adaptations to keep our clinics open. Although other sexual health services were forced to shut their doors, young people could still rely on Brook's support.
This year, our brilliant frontline clinical staff have helped over 15,000 young people
We have helped protect over 1,200 young people with safeguarding referrals
We increased by 361% the number of young people we supported by telephone
We launched new online education and training platforms, making sure that teachers and professionals working with young people could access outstanding relationships and sex education when they reopened
By donating just £20 today, you can help us continue to provide safe spaces and non-judgmental support to the thousands of young people that need us.
