Brook's Emergency Covid-19 Appeal
Brook urgently needs your help to reach and support vulnerable young people who feel they have nowhere else to turn during this pandemic.
Brook urgently needs your help to reach and support vulnerable young people who feel they have nowhere else to turn during this pandemic.
They could be trapped in dangerous situations with violent, coercive or abusive family members.
Navigating the online world can add further challenges. With more time spent online, young people are at greater risk of grooming and online abuse.
Young people turn to Brook because they trust us. We are doing everything we can to continue providing safe spaces and confidential, non-judgmental support at a time when many services have closed their doors.
Now more than ever, we need to make sure that we reach and support those who feel they have nowhere else to turn. We need your help to act quickly.
£10,000 will enable us to:
- Adapt our frontline services to meet the increased needs of young people at a time when many other services have closed their doors
- Continue to safeguard young people who are at greater risk of abuse and online grooming during lockdown
- Mobilise secure online platforms to provide a lifeline through our one-to-one wellbeing and counselling work
- Increase our digital outreach to ensure young people know we are here to provide vital health services such as emergency contraception
- Transform our digital education offer so that we can support professionals in the lead up to mandatory RSE in September, and reduce the burden on teachers and schools
