Brother Z is a faithful worker in a closed country in the Middle East. In the past, he has stood faithfully for the Lord and endured great persecution for the sake of the Gospel. Because he was caught distributing Gospel literature, he was beaten by the police. This type of opposition has not deterred Brother Z, instead he has continued to share the Gospel however possible.

Brother Z is again in need of our help. He has developed a brain tumor and needs surgery. The doctors have recommended that he receive treatment outside of his country due to the delicate nature of the surgery and the location of the tumor. We have planned for him to travel to South Korea to receive treatment, but we must first find the funds. The medical expertise in South Korea is equivalent to what is available in the USA or UK, but only a third of the cost.

The doctors and hospital in South Korea have estimated the need will be $50,000 even with a huge discount. Brother Z has no insurance, and he is a Sponsor-A-National (SPAN) recipient and receives only a few hundred dollars per month. There is no way for him to cover the expense.

For that reason, we are asking several friends of the CEF ministry to consider a benevolent gift to help defray the costs. CEF is seeking to raise the funds required for the surgery, $50,000. We hope to raise funds as soon as possible so that Brother Z can travel to South Korea for the surgery. We also want to rally prayer support for the pending operation and enlist God’s people to pray for healing.
