Our Van – A Lifeline for Thousands
At Brushstrokes Community Project, our mission is simple: to stand alongside refugees and asylum seekers across Sandwell and West Birmingham. For over 25 years, we’ve been a beacon of hope, offering food, clothing, advice, and friendship to those who need it most.
But behind the scenes, there’s an unsung hero – our van. It’s not just a vehicle; it’s the heartbeat of our work. Last year alone, it helped us support 15,854 beneficiaries with vital resources.
Every day, this van:
Delivers food parcels and clothing to families living in poverty.
Transports furniture and essentials for refugees moving into their first homes.
Carries equipment for community activities – from gardening tools to musical instruments.
Brings hope to those who cannot come to us, ensuring no one is left behind.
Now, this lifeline is at risk. Our van urgently needs repairs and ongoing maintenance to stay on the road. Without it, hundreds of families will go without the support they rely on.
Why Your Help Matters:
Imagine being a parent who fled conflict, starting life again with nothing. Imagine the relief when a Brushstrokes volunteer arrives with food, bedding, and a smile. That’s what your donation makes possible.
Every pound you give helps us keep our wheels turning – delivering dignity, safety, and hope to those who need it most.
Please donate today and help us keep our van on the road. Together, we can continue to change lives.
