Bryn has been a dedicated supporter of Nasio's for several years now and is running the Marathon Des Sables (MDS) in preparation for Badwater 135. The MDS is a 251 km, 6-day long ultramarathon run in the Sahara.

The Nasio Trust is a UK registered charity and Kenyan NGO which supports orphaned and vulnerable children and empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty. Established over 20 years ago, our community-based approach is aimed at providing a holistic solution to tackling the root causes of poverty through education, healthcare, psychosocial support, food security and income generation. Our Philosophy. We believe children should not grow up in institutions like orphanages, where they are isolated from society because of poverty, sickness, disease or death of parents. Children should live in a loving family with dignity without being stigmatised by the cause of their vulnerability.

Story

Bryn has chosen this challenge as part of my preparation for Badwater 135 which he is aiming to run in 2024.The desert and temperatures make Marathon Des Sables (MDS) the ideal platform to progress his training.

Bryn has been supporting Nasio for a number of years, including raising money by running a sub 2 half marathon each day for a month and more recently running 500 miles in a month, incorporating half marathons and half marathons. MDS is the ideal challenge to take his fundraising and skills to the next level.
