Buckingham RAG take on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the UK's 3 highest peaks in 24hr. All in support of The Children's Society.
With a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft), Buckingham University RAG are going to great lengths to support the vulnerable children in this country.
Children like Huda, who was sexually assaulted when she was 15 years old, facing honour-based abuse at home afterwards, which led to her frequently going missing and subsequently falling victim to child criminal exploitation, when she became involved in county lines activity, after being made to pack and carry drugs to trap houses by her abusers in return for places to sleep, food and water.
Huda was unaware that she was being exploited when she was referred to a worker from The Childrens Society, who supported her to break free from the cycle of exploitation. Huda is now living back at home and hopes to use her experiences to raise awareness of the reality of county lines. Please support our Three Peaks challenge, to create a country where children are free from disadvantage, where we fight for change, supporting disadvantaged children to have better lives.
