Our scout hut is a wooden frame clad in asbestos with no insulation. Our heating bill is massive during the winter and we are far too hot in the summer.

We are fund raising in stages to complete the works as we have enough funds.

We are raising funds to remove the asbestos and any repairs on the wooden frame completed. Insulation and a membrane installed and clad in a plastic coated, profile tin sheeting.

A you can see we still have a way to go to complete the walls before we can start on the roof which is the same construction.

We are using a local builder to keep local trades in work and they understand or plight of being at the mercy of fund raising.

Our Group has been operating in Wombwell for over 80 years and with a lot of ongoing work we hope to still e here in another 80 years.

Our young people are between 6 and 18 years old and we offer a massive range of activities and adventures for all to take part in.
