At Ummah Hands, we believe everyone should be given the opportunity to live with dignity. More than this, we at Ummah Hands see charity as a given duty of those who are blessed with more, towards their fellow brothers in humanity. We take our inspiration from the Islamic principles of self-sacrifice, empathy, and brotherhood, and aim to see these principles in reality through our work. Ummah Hands works by the non-discriminatory ethics of Islam, providing our facilities to people of all backgrounds, and faiths, men, women, and children. Our efforts are currently concentrated in UK and Bangladesh. In the UK our aims are:To organise, educate and enhance the development of British Muslim communities, to encourage positive contribution to British society and the promotion of social justice. Bangladesh is among the most populous countries in the world with more than 1,100 people packed into every square kilometer.

Nearly one-third of the 160 million population is living below the national poverty line, according to World Banks data in 2010.

Recent projects include improvements through the provision of clean water supply, improved toilets, communal bathhouses, and training in better hygiene.
