Why?

I'm sure we are all painfully aware of how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting the communities we serve and as a direct result Disability Support has seen huge increase in the need for community and welfare rights advice.

We are incredibly fortunate to have three staff members who speak multiple languages, however our bill for translation services has also increased.

Right now we are looking to raise some funds to support us with on costs and purchasing outdoor storage solutions.

The outdoor storage is not a frivolous purchase, it is needed so we can free up more internal private meeting space for vulnerable clients.

We would greatly appreciate some help with the "small stuff."

We are not just interested in money!

Donations of tea, coffee and sugar for our peer support sessions would be very welcome too. You can even get involved with our garden/greenspace project.

We are also looking for people who can assist us with fundraising and businesses that are interested in sponsoring one of our services or projects. (It might be worth remembering that businesses can claim tax relief on charitable donations.)

We also want to speak to people who would be interested in joining our board.

Together we can build even more provision for disabled people, carers, older people, families and communities.
