Story
We’re excited to launch a fun, healthy, and community-building challenge for the whole of January called “Around the World in 31 Days.” Starting on the 1st of January 2026, our school community will work together to travel 40,075km - the distance to journey once around the world, in the 31days of the month.
All the details can be found on the website:-

In line with our school ethos and commitment to wellbeing, we want to create a month-long exercise programme that encourages physical activity, family participation, and community spirit. Walk, run, jog, scoot, cycle, or swim every kilometre will count!
Why does this challenge matter?
Burgess Hill Girls believes that young people do better in all aspects of life when they are happy and healthy. We promote a positive balance between academic work, recreation and volunteering.
Therefore, our challenge reflects these values, offering the girls (and families) the opportunity to be active, set goals, collaborate, and have fun together.
Fundraising purpose:
• We will be raising money for the PTA to support and enhance the girls’ education and teacher’s wellbeing, playground equipment, and much more.
• 70% of the proceeds will be spent equally on Nursery, Prep, Senior School, Sixth Form, Boarders and Staff.
• 30% of the proceeds will be split between The Pantry and Haywards Heath Food Bank supporting our wider community.
