At this very moment, thousands of women, men and their loved ones across Leicestershire and Rutland are living with and fighting the battle against breast cancer.

For the past 4 years Leicester Hospitals Charity has worked closely with Leicesters Breast Care Centre to host the Butterfly Walk.

This 5KM walk is a way for us to celebrate those successfully getting through their treatment, a way to say thank you to our dedicated consultants, nurses and staff at the centre and a time to come together to remember the loved ones no longer with us.

To combat last years missed event due to the nationwide lockdown of 2020, we are determined to celebrating our 5th year of the Butterfly Walk in style!

2021 is the year to blossom and this year we aim to make the event bigger and better.

Our dream is to give as many people as possible the ability to take part in the Butterfly Walk but most importantly we want to ensure it is safe for those to do so. Therefore, in June 2021 we will be holding the Virtual Butterfly Walk. This means anyone, anywhere can take part in our annual event by completing their own personal 5km Butterfly Walk on Saturday 26th June. The walk can be done in your own time and at a location you choose (whilst abiding by government Covid19 rules on social distancing).
