Story
🚒 BW3 Fire Engine Pull 2026
BW3 is challenging organisations across Greater Manchester to take part in our annual Fire Engine Pull Charity Challenge - a high-energy team event where six competitors work together to pull an 18-tonne fire engine 20 metres in the fastest time possible.
It is strength, teamwork, and determination put to the test - all in support of a powerful cause.
💛 Why we are fundraising
All money raised through this campaign will help BW3 continue its work with young people across Wythenshawe.
For 24 years, BW3 (Business Working With Wythenshawe) has acted as a unique bridge between businesses and the local community - enabling employers to give back in meaningful ways, while supporting young people to build confidence, raise aspirations, and access real pathways into employment.
Through mentoring, school-based programmes, employer engagement and bespoke projects, BW3 helps inspire young people to believe in their potential and achieve more than they thought possible.
🚀 The challenge
Teams of six will go head-to-head to pull a full-size fire engine 20 metres in the fastest time.
It is a fun, competitive and unforgettable team challenge, bringing together businesses, schools and local organisations for an evening of energy, teamwork and community spirit.
But most importantly, every team taking part is helping to change lives.
🎯 Your impact
Every pound raised helps BW3:
- Inspire young people in Wythenshawe
- Connect schools with local employers
- Build confidence, aspiration and skills
- Create real pathways into employment
- Deliver mentoring and enrichment opportunities
