Since the early days of conflict in Yemen, which started in 2014, members of BYS have wanted to do something to address the suffering of Yemenis in all parts of the country and all walks of life. The BYS Crisis Appeal (now the BYS Appeal) was set up to raise funds to support medical and humanitarian work in Yemen.

Initially sums raised were shared between Medecins sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) and the Red Cross/Red Crescent in Yemen. More recently BYS has supported small humanitarian or medical projects in Yemen, in Aden, Sanaa and Hadhramaut (Mukalla) as well as a charity that works to address child trauma.

BYS hopes to continue to support such efforts and asks that you give generously to help the suffering people of Yemen.
