Five Colombians and a Frenchman with a big Colombian heart will embark on a great cycling journey for the children of Colombia with two friends supporting the ride. With the help of our friends along the ride, and YOU, we can accomplish our mission to make a difference! We're embarking on a thrilling journey, cycling across England from the Irish Sea to the North Sea in just three days. Our goal? To raise vital funds for Colombia's most vulnerable children.

Why Colombia?

We are passionate about helping Colombia, and while living abroad, we want to be able to continue supporting the Colombian youth however we can. We want to support the Football for Peace project run by Children Change Colombia, as we believe that sports are an amazing way to build community and promote peace. Many of us have children who practice football, most of us enjoy the sport, and we believe this is an opportunity to combine our shared interest of Football with a way of helping children affected by precarious situations in our country.

The project, Football for Peace, provides training to local sports coaches to teach children about peace-building, gender equality and to develop their social-emotional skills, with the aim of protecting them against forced recruitment. It will also raise funds to provide football kits and the restoration of football pitches.

Nuestra Historia

Somos cinco colombianos y un frances con corazón Colombiano, con poca experiencia en ciclismo y dos de nuestros amigos ayudándonos en esta aventura mientras tomamos el reto de recorrer Inglaterra de Costa a Costa en tres días en bicicleta. Empezaremos nuestra ruta desde el Mar de Irlanda terminando en el Mar Norte.

¿Por qué Colombia?

Nos apasiona ayudar a nuestro país y, aunque vivimos en el extranjero, queremos seguir apoyando a la juventud colombiana como podamos. Queremos apoyar el proyecto Fútbol por la Paz de Children Change Colombia, ya que creemos que el deporte es una manera increíble de construir comunidad y promover la paz. Muchos de nosotros tenemos hijos que practican fútbol, a la mayoría nos gusta este deporte, y creemos que esta es una oportunidad para combinar nuestro interés compartido por el fútbol con una forma de ayudar a los niños y niñas afectados por situaciones precarias en nuestro país.

El proyecto, Football por la Paz, ofrece formación a entrenadores deportivos locales para que enseñen a los niños sobre la construcción de la paz, la igualdad de género y a desarrollar sus habilidades socioemocionales, con el objetivo de protegerlos contra el reclutamiento forzoso. También recaudará fondos para proporcionar uniformes a los equipos de fútbol y restaurar campos de fútbol.
