Help Get Us Back on the Road!

Our engines have stopped, but our ambitious students shouldn't have to.

We are a school with a legacy unlike any other. Our corridors have been walked by legends – from the creative spark of John Lennon and Guy Chambers to the sporting grit of Steve Coppell and Joe Royle. We’ve seen award-winning authors like Kate Ellis, architects like James Stirling, political pioneers like Bill Rogers, world-class skaters like Geoff Rowley, and esteemed global festival founders like Jude Kelly start their journeys right here. Even now, recent alumni and best friends Jo and Kush are capturing the hearts of millions on this series of BBC One’s Race Across the World.

Today, that same world-class talent is alive in our classrooms. As you read this, four of our girl footballers are representing England in Mexico. We have kickboxing gold medallists, muay thai world champions, and robotics teams ready to take on the country. Our Year 9/10 girls have just won the Merseyside Cup, and our student musicians are firing up for our annual takeover of the world-famous Cavern Club...

But we have hit a major roadblock.

Both of our school minibuses – the lifeblood of our sports teams, our Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, and our science trips – are on their last legs (or wheels!). Currently, we are forced to spend thousands of pounds on external coach hire – money that should be going into our classrooms – just to ensure our students don't miss out on the "Experience Guarantee" we promised them.

Without these buses, the trips that define a child's school years are at risk of being cancelled.

The Goal: £80,000!

We are raising £80,000 to fund two brand-new 15-seater minibuses. This isn't just about school runs. These buses will take our sports team to their matches, robotics teams to championships, our hikers to the peaks of the Lake District, and our rewards trips to celebrate the hard work of our diverse community. We want to ensure that every student, regardless of background, can access opportunities outside the school gates without transport costs being a hurdle.

🛡️ £100 funds a seatbelt to keep our students safe.

💺 £500 sponsors a seat, giving you a permanent plaque inside the bus to mark your support or honour a loved one.
