Sports Connections Foundation are a children's charity that uses the power of sport to transform, inspire and bring hope to the lives of children who are disadvantaged, vulnerable, poverty stricken or facing life-limiting illness. We provide positive mentoring programmes and Sporting Wishes.

Story

SCF was established in 2010 with the aim of using the power of sport to inspire, empower, educate and transform the lives of children and young people and we are proud to have engaged with over 550,000 children and young people.

Sports Connections Foundation are totally committed to raising aspirations & creating role models for the next generation & providing exciting exit routes & transforming communities.

SCF supports children in their formative years with a particular focus on transition, inclusion and young people who are facing the challenge or poor mental health, social isolation and economic deprivation. Our framework ensures we cross both the education and community environments. Aspects of what we deliver include: mentoring sessions, positive play & therapeutic Intervention, Theme Positive Activity and School Holiday Programmes.

If not for the support and love I received through inspire through sport, I dont think I would be here, simple. I have struggled with mental health and having people to talk to and being able to play sport too means everything. Joel, aged 15

Our Sporting Wishes help to make dreams come true for some of the bravest children who are facing life-threatening illnesses.

We are very proud to be able to provide some much needed respite from gruelling treatments and lengthy hospital stays that these children face, whilst also creating lasting memories for the whole family.

"It was the most awesome day ever and it was by far the best day of my life and I got to meet new friends". - Rossi aged 9, when he trained with the Wasps and met some England Rugby Stars
