Last winter, Tom* was living in conditions no one should endure. His boiler was broken, his home was freezing, and he was surviving on just a small pizza each day. Severe mobility issues made day to day tasks almost impossible. Any longer in those conditions could have been fatal.

Thanks to our Older Homeless Service, Tom’s life began to change. Support worker Lizzy earned his trust, got his heating repaired, and provided warm clothes, food, and a washing machine. Our Mental Health Practitioner, Louisa, helped him manage finances and rebuild his confidence. Step by step, Tom is moving towards a brighter, safer future – and Cambridge Cyrenians have been his lifeline.
