Story
Worsening socio-economic standards of Muslims in India is a serious concern. The majority of the community lives below poverty line. The literacy rate amongst Muslims in India is lower than the average literacy rate of 50 %. The graduation rate amongst Muslims is a dismal 4% and the number of Muslims opting to become post graduates is less than 2%.
Camel Foundation Trust has been working relentlessly at grassroots level to root out Jahalath prevalent in our community. Our Mission is to engage in building Institutes of learning (schools, colleges, residential hostels, Skill development centres) which focus on imparting holistic education to the destitute and disadvantaged children within our community. We believe Thaleem (Acquiring Worldly/ Scientific Knowledge) and Tarbiyah (Acquiring Discipline to accord meaning and purpose to their life) are the cornerstones that help produce resilient, grounded, balanced and accomplished children embedded with strong ethical and moral values. Camel foundation mission is thus to provide centres of learning where children can excel in modern education and are anchored to their spiritual and moral dimension of their faith.
CFT is presently managing and operating 3 residential hostels catering to approximately 100 needy children who are from very poor background .To accomplish our mission of empowering the downtrodden and impoverished sections of Muslim society through imparting modern education in addition to basic Islamic education we have acquired 5.5 acres of land in Dharwad - Karnataka for setting up a world class Integrated educational campus that shall include CBSE high school / PUC college & a degree college / Hostel. Inshallah this Campus shall become a fountainhead of producing knowledgeable, responsible and accomplished individuals who shall become beacon of light for our community and society at large.
