Story

Salisbury and South Wilts Scouts no longer have access to a dedicated campsite. There is more to Scouting than camping, but the confidence, self-reliance, connection nature and adventurous spirit that it instills is hugely beneficial for all.

In typical fashion, the Scouts of Salisbury and South Wilts have set themselves a huge challenge that is going to require creativity, dedication and hard work to achieve. It should also be fun. The Scouts are going to ensure that future generations can experience the joy sleeping under the stars by raising £150,000 to buy a campsite in the local area.

About the charity

Everyday adventure is the name Scouting gives the mix of active, creative, indoor and outdoor activities young people enjoy each week. Scouts have walked on the moon. They are also social workers, teachers and foster parents: the people who make society work. Quite simply, Scouting changes lives.
