Story
Over the last six months we've been fortunate enough to experience some amazing adventures – from challenging mountain hikes and volcano climbs to exploring the underwater world and immersing ourselves in new cultures. It's been a life-changing experience, and one we're incredibly grateful to have had.
As our travels come to an end, we wanted to finish by doing something that could make a difference for others.
That's why we're running this half marathon in support of EQOL, a charity that helps people with neurological conditions and disabilities access employment opportunities, develop confidence, and achieve greater independence.
Many neurological conditions, including autism, are often not immediately visible, yet they can create significant barriers to employment and everyday opportunities. EQOL works tirelessly to break down those barriers, helping individuals gain meaningful employment, build skills, and create brighter futures.
We chose to support EQOL because we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their goals and live a fulfilling life. Through the support EQOL provides, people are given opportunities that may otherwise have been out of reach.
Neither of us are elite runners. In fact, running a half marathon is a challenge that will push us well outside our comfort zones. But throughout our travels we've learned that amazing things can happen when you commit yourself to a goal and take that first step.
Our hope is that this challenge raises both awareness and funds for EQOL, while also highlighting the power of determination, opportunity, and support. Together, we can help more people access employment, gain confidence, and pursue ambitions they may once have thought impossible.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help support EQOL's vital work and make a genuine difference to people's lives.
Thank you for supporting us, supporting EQOL, and being part of this journey.
