Story
Poor Sully the Giant Sulcata Tortoise is not very well.
He came to us after having a traumatic time in a previous home. He has been moved around a lot, traumatised by a dog, had a chest infection and has refused to eat for a long time.
Tortoises take a long time to get poorly, and when he went to the vet this week his X-ray showed that his guts were completely empty, indicating that he has been going downhill for months and he desperately needs veterinary care and attention.
On Monday 4th September he is going for blood tests, this involves a sedation so they can get blood from the jugular vein in his neck. This will analyse his liver and kidney function and see if the damage caused to Sully can be reversed.
The vet bill for x-rays and tests will be about £500, so we are asking if you can please help in any small way to help.
At the moment he is having baths twice a day in minerals to keep him hydrated and we are keeping him warm.
Thank you so much x
