Story

Let the Summer Games begin!

To celebrate the recent launch of the Carbon Literacy Sports Sector Toolkit, we’re holding the Carbon-bola, where you can be in with the chance to win a bundle of Patagonia goodies to help on your outdoor adventures this summer. The Carbon-bola will run from Friday 7th July – Monday 7th August, giving you one whole month to make your entry into the draw.

At The Carbon Literacy Project, we believe that nature is for everyone, and want the outdoors to be protected for years to come. Getting outdoors has a wealth of proven benefits to your mind and well-being, as it can help improve mood, increase self-esteem, and help you feel a connection to your community, an outdoors group, and nature.

However, we also understand that the outdoors is not accessible to everyone. That's why through the Carbon-bola, we want to help make the great outdoors more accessible and help encourage you to explore and find comfort in being outdoors.

One lucky winner will win:

1 x Patagonia Black Hole Pack – a 25L daypack with lots of space to hold your daily essentials, and the durability you expect for your outdoor adventures.

1 x Patagonia Black Hole Cube - a weather-resistant 6L packing cube to protect items in your daypack.

1 x Patagonia Keep Cup – a reusable mug made of durable tempered glass to enjoy hot drinks on the go.

How to Enter

To be in with the chance to win, all you have to do is donate to the Carbon Literacy Tombola via JustGiving.

How many pounds you donate = how many entries you secure to the draw. So, for every £5 donation you’ll receive 5 entries to the draw, £10 for 10 entries, and so on.

Please remember to include basic contact information, including your name and address/email address, to be eligible for the prize, so that we can contact you if you win!

Terms & Conditions

- The cost of each ticket into the Carbon-bola is £1. You may purchase more than one ticket.

- Entries must be made in whole-pound donations. Any donations made in smaller denominations (e.g. 25p, 50p) do not equal a ticket entry.

- You can only enter the draw by donating through the Carbon-bola page via JustGiving.

- To be eligible for the prize draw, you must provide basic contact details including name and email address, and enable permission for The Carbon Literacy Project to contact you so that we are able to contact you in the event that you win the prize.

- Entrants should be 16 and over to comply with Gambling Commission regulations.

- Entry is open to the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland.

- Donations made via other channels (e.g. through Patagonia Action Works) during this period do not apply to this fundraiser. Entries must be via this Carbon-bola campaign page to be eligible for this prize draw.

- In the interest of fairness, paid members of The Carbon Literacy Project team are ineligible for the prize draw. However, volunteers, interns and friends and family of the team are eligible.

- No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years. We reserve the right to carry out age verification checks.

- Gift Aid will not be applied to entry donations as donations to this prize draw are in exchange for goods.

- The Carbon-bola will end on 7th August or when we reach £20,000 in donations, whichever comes first.

- Any ticket entries received after the closing date may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered as a donation to The Carbon Literacy Project.

- The winner will be announced by the end of August. The winner of the draw is final.

- This draw is not sponsored by or affiliated with Patagonia. Prizes have not been gifted by Patagonia for the purpose of this draw.
