There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, and 1 in 6 over the age of 80 have some form of dementia.

Staff at QA Hospital have an ever-increasing wish to enhance care to these patients by giving them access to fun, stimulating activities that are completely suited to their needs.

This appeal means that patients, their family and visitors will be able to enjoy the simple things in life, like playing a board game or sharing a sensory experience, and connect with their loved one more easily while in hospital.
