This Christmas, help us bring comfort and a little festive magic to patients across our hospital.

For some patients, spending Christmas in hospital can be an unexpected, lonely and difficult experience. A small gesture can make a meaningful difference, whether that’s a thoughtful care package filled with everyday essentials or a festive chocolate treat to brighten their day.

This Christmas, we are bringing our Christmas Chocolate Appeal and Care Package Appeal together to give our community even more ways to support patients across our Trust.

We are inviting staff members to donate ready-made care packages for men and women, as well as chocolate selection boxes and festive treats. These will be distributed to patients, helping us spread a little Christmas cheer to those spending the festive period in hospital.

Care packages could include:

• Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, body wipes

• Sanitary products (for women’s packs)

• New lounge wear, underwear, socks, slippers

• Blankets

• Puzzle books, magazines, books

• Wrapped dry food items

You can also donate:

Chocolate selection boxes and festive chocolate treats. These thoughtful donations can make patients feel more comfortable, cared for and remembered, especially at a time when they may be missing out on Christmas at home.

If you would like to physically donate, you can do so by dropping off the items directly at Russells Hall Hospital at the main entrance or the charity team, between Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. If you would like to donate online, you can do so on this page.
