These are words no parent wants to hear—especially when there’s nothing left in the cupboard and the heating hasn’t been on for days. For too many families in North East Lincolnshire, this is the harsh reality of winter.
At CARE, we’ve been walking alongside families and individuals in our community for over 30 years, helping them face their toughest times. Whether it’s keeping the lights on, putting food on the table, or finding a safe place to call home, we’ve seen how even a little help can bring hope and change to someone’s life.
This winter, more people than ever are coming to us for support. Families are being forced to make impossible choices—heat or eat. We’re doing everything we can to make sure no one faces these struggles alone. But we can’t do it without your help.
Who We Are
CARE has been a lifeline in North East Lincolnshire for over three decades, providing practical, hands-on support to those who need it most. We’re here for the crisis moments, but also to help people rebuild for a brighter future.
•Crisis Support
No one should have to choose between feeding their children or keeping the lights on. We provide food parcels, gas and electricity top-ups, and other essentials to help families through their hardest days. But we also go further—helping people access benefits, manage their finances, and find lasting solutions.
•Housing Assistance
Homelessness can happen to anyone. We work with landlords to break down barriers like deposits or guarantors that stop people from finding a safe home. From supported housing to helping families move toward independence, we’re here to give people a fresh start.
