Story
We are taking the plunge for unpaid carers!
On 16th October 2026, we’ll be swapping our usual day at work for something a little more daring — flying across Twickenham Stadium on a zip wire as part of the Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston upon Thames Zip Wire Challenge!
For us, this challenge is about so much more than the thrill of the zip wire. We both work as Care Support Workers for Crossroads Care, so we see first-hand the incredible difference the charity makes to the lives of unpaid carers and the people they care for.
For almost 40 years, Crossroads Care has been supporting local unpaid carers and those they look after, of all ages and with all forms of disability. Behind every carer is a person who often gives so much of themselves, day after day. They deserve support, understanding and the chance to take a break and recharge.
That’s why we’re taking on this challenge — to raise vital funds and awareness and help give unpaid carers the respite they so desperately need.
Every donation, whatever the amount, will help strengthen this essential local service and make a genuine difference to carers and families in our community.
So, if you’re able to, do please sponsor us and help us reach our goal!
We’ll be holding on tight and doing our very best to enjoy the view, all in aid of a very important cause!
Thank you so much for supporting us.
