Story
2020 is the 46th anniversary year of the event in Preston and we are planning right now. We are supported by the Arts Council, England for our creative and artistic elements of the event but need to raise in the region of £30,000 to cover the costs of infra-structure. That is costs such as safety barriers, security and stewarding, traffic control and event management.
The event is for anyone and everyone and will consist of a procession from Moor Park, Preston from 12noon on Sunday 7 June 2020, followed by a family fun afternoon on the park. A main stage will have live performers from 1.30 in the afternoon.
Caribbean foods and well International foods will be available all afternoon including traditional jerk chicken and rice, curried goat and dumplings.
A licensed bar will be on site and visitors are asked not to bring their own alcohol as this will not be allowed on to the park event site.
Childrens activities include creative stalls, insects and creatures to see and inflatables.
