Story
In an innovative partnership The Friends of Erlestoke and The Salisbury Museum are collaborating to raise money for two important projects.
This exciting fundraising initiative has mental well-being at its heart. For the prisoners at Erlestoke, there are currently no facilities for outdoor team sports. Fresh air and healthy exercise will improve the mental well-being and fitness of prisoners as part of their rehabilitation. It will also help to prevent reoffending. The Friends of Erlestoke Prison are aiming to raise a total of £500,000 to build and install the all-weather sports pitch.
The Salisbury Museum is an independent charity, which uses its outstanding collections of art, archaeology, costume and social history to encourage learning, inspiration and enjoyment for all. The money raised will support the museum on its journey towards securing a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project will complete the much needed transformation of our Salisbury history galleries, restore our medieval home and launch a programme of learning and community activities to build and grow our audiences.
The cARTes postales - art on postcards campaign has now come to an end, but if you would like to donate to the campaign your support is very much appreciated.
