Cartmel Primary Goes Wild - Final Push

Without a final push, some of the most exciting bits of our project will have to wait. To help make everything happen before the children return in September, please give what you can!

For the past two years, we’ve been working hard to make Phase 1 of Cartmel Primary Goes Wild a reality—and we’re so nearly there. Now we’re asking for your help to fill the final funding gap.
Please give what you can.
Thanks to generous support from local and national funders, we’ve already raised an incredible £145,000 of our £161,000 target. We’ve been amazed by the kindness and backing we've received from so many people—thank you.
But we’re not quite over the finish line.
Without your support, some of the most exciting parts of the project may have to wait.
We want to deliver the full vision this September, so every child returns to a school transformed—with a growing space, and outdoor learning brought to life. Phase one will also bring a purpose built car park - taking parked cars off the main play area -ready for phase 2!
If everyone gives a little, we’ll reach our target—and bring the whole project to life for the children, families, and community of Cartmel.
Cartmel Primary Goes Wild is transforming the school’s outdoor space into a safe, inspiring, and climate-friendly environment for play and learning. The project includes natural play areas, a growing space with raised beds and a polytunnel, and outdoor classrooms that will benefit children’s wellbeing, creativity, and connection to nature for years to come. It’s not just a playground—it’s a legacy for the whole community.
