Story
Some of our followers will no doubt recognise these two faces, Adrian and Suzie, from Kiko's Cat Cafe. Unfortunately, these two have recently faced some health scares. Adrian is fighting a fatal illness, and Suzie requires ongoing care for life.
Adrian recently stopped eating and drinking and, within just a few hours, was struggling to breathe. He was rushed to Badgers Oak Vets in Northiam where he was hospitalised for two nights, placed on intravenous fluids and fed via a tube. After a worrying wait, during which Adrian developed neurological symptoms, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He was released into private foster for some extra TLC and close monitoring. Pancreatitis can be fatal and Adrian isn’t out the woods yet.

Suzie came into rescue after living with a cat hoarder for a number of years. She was in a poor state due to her environment and malnourishment. She underwent a battery of tests ranging from heart scans for a possible murmur and tests for wet FIP - an almost certain death sentence. It’s now confirmed that Suzie’s body cannot absorb nutrients properly, due to her past environment. This results in her struggling to maintain her weight and has taken a toll on her immune system. Having started on a specialist diet, she is making improvements and must stay on this strict diet for life.

So far, the care we’ve provided for Adrian and Suzie is over £1,600, and there still more tests needed to be 100% certain of their diagnoses. Suzie’s special food alone is costing £70 a month.
We will ALWAYS put the welfare of our animals above all else, but that's come at a huge hit to our already depleted bank balance. Without replenishing costs, we cannot continue the work that we do.
We are asking all ours and Kiko's Cat Cafe followers to please, please, donate if you can. Your donation will make the difference to us being able to continue Adrian and Suzie's care, as well as saving countless other lives.
Thank you
