This Foster Care Fortnight, we’re lacing up our trainers and walking, jogging, or running 83,000 steps—one for each of the 83,000 children currently in care across the UK.

Why 83K? Because behind every step is a child whose story matters.

This year we’re turning every step into a celebration of the bonds that change lives. We’re encouraging teams across regions to come together for group walks, inviting carers, colleagues, and even young people to join in. Because when we move together, we grow stronger together.
