Story
The more our adopter community grows, the more adoption support we need to provide. Together, we want to grow our adoption support. We would love you to get involved by creating your own fundraiser over the summer. A cake sale, a swimathon, or something 'growing' related, like a plant sale, all ideas welcome. Why we need to provide more.....
All adopted children have experienced adverse childhood experiences; the impact of trauma can create lifelong issues including forming trusting relationships with adults and their peers; executive functioning skills; speech and language difficulties; learning delays or difficulties; regulating their emotions; coping with transitions and change; sensory processing.
Addressing the needs of adoptive families has a transformative impact. By providing therapeutic support, training, and peer connection, CCS Adoption helps children heal from trauma, build trusting relationships, and thrive emotionally and socially. Families gain confidence, reduce stress, and strengthen bonds, while children experience improved learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. This support reduces isolation and sets adoptees on a path to healthier, more stable futures. With early and ongoing help, families are empowered, and children are given the best chance to succeed in life.
