Story
Alhamdulilah! The building is secured. The Q-Institute is here!

Help us finish the journey. Now the real work begins - help us bring The Q-Institute to life.
After 1.5 years of dedication, dua and generosity from this community, CEI has secured 3 Crane Court, off Fleet Street - the future home of The Q-Institute, in the heart of central London, steps from St Paul's Cathedral.

Hundreds of you generously gave and prayed towards this milestone - we are deeply grateful for your support, your duas, and your shared vision – and we humbly ask for your continued support as we take the next steps on this journey.
But the journey isn't finished.
Securing the building was the first milestone - not the last. We now need to repay our outstanding loan, and prepare the space to open its doors fully: fitting out the library, teaching rooms, café and members' space, and establishing the Institute as a true home for the wider CEI and Qx community.

The 114 Qur’an Donor Wall - Your Name Your Sura
The 114 Donor Wall will be a bespoke installation at the heart of The Q-Institute — 114 tiles, each representing one Sura of the Qur'an. Every tile will carry the names of the donors who sponsored it, paired with the Sura of their choice.
The Wall will stand as a lasting testament to the Institute's purpose — making the Qur'an accessible in the heart of London — and as a permanent tribute to the generosity of those who made it possible. A Sadaqah Jariyah, written into the fabric of the building itself.

Limited to just 114, each Sura is uniquely and permanently paired with a donors' names. Your dedication may be made in your own name, in memory of a loved one, or shared with family, friends, or a community. Once a Sura is chosen, it is gone — making every dedication truly one of a kind.

Reserve your favourite sura with just a £1k donation and option to pay monthly. To sponsor a tile – please visit the website for more information and the Donor Wall JG page. [Clickable links]
Set Up and Refurbishment Costs
The initial £150K will allow us to prepare the space for our teaching programmes, and support planning permission for future income streams — including a café, members' lounge, Qur'an library, and residential accommodation.
Our aim is to transition our educational programmes into the new building for next academic term - make a donation to our JG page and help us get classes started ASAP!
Your Name in Stone – a Permanent Plaque in the Building - £50K+
Distinct from the Donor Wall – reserved for the most significant financial gifts, have your name or that of a loved one inscribed into the physical architecture of The Q-Institute as an enduring legacy of your contribution and commitment to the Qur’an.

If you are in a position to give a significant or transformational amount, please make your contribution on our JG page and then email us with your full name, and contact number/details. Please email info@ceiuk.com & zeenat@ceiuk.com– we look forward to hearing from you!
A legacy that outlasts you
Every pound brings The Q-Institute closer to standing fully on its own feet - fully paid for, sustainable, and ready to serve generations after us.
We are nearly there – help us bring the vision into a lived reality.
This is Sadaqah Jariyah in its clearest form. A building in the heart of London, dedicated to the Qur'an, will go on teaching and transforming long after we are gone.
To support The Q-Institute now is to plant something permanent in one of the most significant cities in the world, at a moment when its story is still being written.
What you are supporting
The Q-Institute sits in one of the most connected, historic and intellectually vibrant corners of the country. Eight Underground and rail stations - including the Elizabeth Line and Thameslink at Farringdon - are within 10–15 minutes' walk, putting the Qur'an within easy reach of every corner of London and beyond.

The building stands among centuries of learning and discourse: a stone's throw from the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns of Court and the Maughan Library, in a district that has shaped legal, academic and public life in Britain for generations. It sits within the same cultural corridor as Somerset House and Tate Modern, with St Paul's Cathedral anchoring the skyline - a landmark of the City's layered religious, civic and architectural history.

Crane Court itself was once at the heart of London's print and publishing trade - a place where ideas were set down and sent out into the world. The Q-Institute now continues that legacy, but with the Qur'an front and centre.
What The Q-Institute will offer
The Q-Institute will be a home for the Qur'an in the city - a place to learn it, study it, research it, and disseminate it and network.
- A dedicated Qur'an library and comprehensive working collection of Qur'anic material
- Teaching rooms supporting the expansion of CEI's long-established programmes
- A members' lounge, designed as a space to study, reflect, connect & network.
- A café, woven into the fabric of the building rather than separate from it
- A growing research community - bringing serious, accessible engagement with the Qur'an to people with or without Arabic
- Facilities for digital, podcast and social media content, so the Institute's reach extends far beyond those who can walk through its doors
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it."
The Q-Institute exists to make that possible for as many people as it can reach - grassroots and academic, lifelong students and complete beginners alike.
Please help us actualise our vision and be a part of a transformational legacy in service of the Qur’an in Central London.
