At Refugee Action, we believe that refugees who come to the UK should be treated with respect and care. No-one leaves their home unless they are no longer safe there, and everyone deserves safety. But instead of being celebrated for their resilience and given the support they need to rebuild their lives, refugees are placed in terrible housing, banned from being able to work, forced into poverty and subjected to hostility from the media and the public.

Refugee Action want to change this. Our frontline services deliver support and advice to people seeking safety, and our campaigns fight for change. We are on a mission to build a fairer future for refugees in the UK, and we'd love you to join us!

The money you are raising will power our work, meaning that we can continue to be on the frontline supporting refugees, and campaigning for their rights. It will fuel our work delivering face to face support to refugees, providing immigration advice, housing, financial support, employment support and therapeutic and wellbeing services.

What does that look like in real life? It could mean a person is granted asylum and allowed to remain the UK, thanks to the support of their Refugee Action caseworker. Or it could mean a family newly arrived to the UK could be provided with warm blankets, clothing and phone chargers so that they can contact their loved ones.
